§ 02 — Why FarmHouse

Small breeder. Big intention.

Buying from a thoughtful breeder is different from buying from a chain. Here's what that means in practice.

// 01

25+ years in the hobby

Two-and-a-half decades of keeping, breeding, and observing fish — long enough to recognize a healthy line.

// 02

Captive-bred only

No wild collection. Every fish here was hatched and raised in our system, in mature, planted water.

// 03

Conservation-minded

We focus on species under pressure in the wild and aim to keep their lines alive in the hobby.

// 04

Healthy, hand-raised stock

Small batches, observed daily, fed live and prepared foods. We don't list a fish until it's ready to leave.

§ 03 — About

Hi, I'm Michael.

I've been in the aquarium hobby for over 25 years. My current fish room houses more than 20 aquariums full of beautiful aquatic species — many of them in dire need of help.

So many of these species are being heavily impacted by pollution and habitat loss. At FarmHouse Aquatics, the goal is simple: breed these fish and place them with as many responsible aquarists as possible to help ensure their survival.

If a fish lives here, it gets daily attention. If it's listed here, it's healthy, mature, and ready for a thoughtful tank.

A Conservation Note
"If you are keeping an aquarium, you have the opportunity to help preserve species that are about to go extinct in the wild."

§ 04 — How to order

Four short steps. No checkout cart.

Because every fish is an animal — not inventory — we keep ordering personal. You inquire, we talk, we agree on the right fish, and then we arrange pickup or shipping.

Start an Order
  1. 01

    Browse what's swimming

    Look through this month's available fish. Each card lists the line, traits we've selected for, and rough availability. Photos are of the actual stock — not stock photos.

  2. 02

    Send a quick inquiry

    Tell me which fish caught your eye, your tank size, and whether you'd like a pair, a trio, or a group. Most replies go out within 24–48 hours.

  3. 03

    Confirm the details

    We'll talk specifics — sex, size, current diet, and what they'll travel best with. I share photos of the exact fish you'd be taking home.

  4. 04

    Pickup or shipping

    Local pickup is welcome and free. Shipping is overnight, weather permitting, with a live-arrival guarantee. Payment confirms the hold.
